Vigilant Technologies is delighted to announce its award as a sub-contractor of the USACE Huntsville Small Business WERS Contract with Gilbane Federal. As a sub-contractor, Vigilant will support United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)/Fort Ord with various technical aspects such as forming an integrated project team for database and website management, with Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) and USACE participation, due to system complexity and the need for integration across functional compartments.
In an effort to re-utilize land, an environmental cleanup of Fort Ord, California is being performed to clean the land of former military contamination. Methods of decontamination include: removal of munitions, testing of soil, prescribed burns, and cleanup of groundwater. This landmark project will be performed from 2014 through 2019. Vigilant will also be serving multiple key roles in the hosting of servers, database administration, development, and maintenance of system architecture. In order to host government information, the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Project Management Office (PMO) is requiring Cloud Service Providers to be FedRAMP certified or be in the process of becoming certified. Vigilant Technologies had already demonstrated readiness to begin the FedRAMP authorization process via the Joint-Authorization Board (JAB) path. Numerous enhancements will be performed by Vigilant in the GIS, application, database management and FedRAMP Compliant Cloud Services management and monitoring. Early focus will be on improvements to system security, change control, and access control.
