After a 1 year selection process, Vigilant will land its eastern cloud in a Tier 3 data center located in New Jersey.

Vigilant reviewed several locations in Chicago, Charlotte and Dallas. The overal deciding factors where access to Vigilant's low latency Fibre Carriers , Tier 3 and SAS 70 certifications on location. The Eastern cloud will provide addition redundancy for Vigilant Vcloud Powered services, Hybrid clouds, and Cloud recovery network. The data center meets Tier 4 requirements, but must be certified 5 yeras as Tier 3 first.

This augnments Vigilant's Private Datacenter presense in California and Arizona. Vigilant Also has Cloud services in the AWS cloud and Virtual Datacenter space thru partners globally.

The New Jersey go-live date is 20 July, 2012
