A few months ago, Spectre and Meltdown were making all of the news headlines. Spectre and Meltdown are in the headlines again after eight new variants were discovered in Intel's CPUs. Intel has rated four of them a severity rating of high, and the other four a medium. The technical details have not yet been revealed, but the vulnerabilities's risks and attacks are similar to the original Spectre. Cloud service hosts and providers are the most at risk from the new Spectre variants. Attackers can use the exploits to gain access to data transfers and compromise data. Intel is currently working on the fixes for the new variants, and reports suggest that patches will be released in two batches. The first is expected to arrive this month, while the second may not arrive until August. Contact us to find out how vulnerable you may be to these exploits!
